Former resident dies

William De Blonk of Brookings, S. D., died Monday, April 10. He was born at the Hague, Holland, June 6, 1877 and came to Rock Valley inMarch 1908.

Mr. De Blonk then moved to Brookings in February 1919. He was a carpenter by trade and active in that work until a few weeks before his death.

Survivors include his wife, four sons, William of Owatonna, Minn., Carl of Brisbane, Australia; Peter of Fort Bragg, N. C. and Arnold of Brookings. Two daughters, Mrs. Raymond Bol (Henrietta) of Twin Falls, Idaho and Mrs. S. W. Tompkins (Margaret) of Aberdeen, S. D.;,one sister in Holland and 12 grandchildren.
