Mr. William Jansma was born on June 22, 1903, to Mr. and Mrs. Tunis Jansma. He passed away Monday, August 31, 1964, at the Restmore Nursing Home in Rock Rapids, Iowa. He had reached the age of 61 years, 2 months and 9 days.

The deceased grew to manhood in this vicinity and spent his active years in farming. In December of 1963 he entered the Nursing Home where he made his home until his death. At the time of his death he was a communicant member of the Protestant Reformed Church of Doon, Iowa.

Mr. Jansma was united in marriage to Alice Van Dyk December 18, 1922, and to this union were born three sons and two daughters: Tunis of Doon, Iowa; William Jr. of Ellsworth, Minnesota; Bartel of Luverne, Minnesota; Mrs. Peter De Boer of Rock Rapids, Iowa; and Mrs. James De Boer of Hull, Iowa.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Andrew. Besides his family he is survived by six brothers, Dick, Walter, Peter, Tunis, Floyd and Jim Jansma, all of this area; and one sister, Mrs. Ernest De Groot of Artesia, California.

Funeral services were held Thursday, September 3, 1964, at 1:00 o’clock at the Kraai Funeral Chapel and at 1:30 o’clock at the the Protestant Reformed Church of Hull. The Reverend H. Hanko of Doon officiated, and interment was in the Hope Cemetery at Hull.

Arrangements were made b y Kraai Funeral Hone of Hull. Pallbearers were Dick, Walter, Peter, Tunis, Floyd and Jim Jansma.
