De Volksvriend Thursday April 18, 1901 (In Dutch)
Obituary
It is my sad duty to relate that the Lord was pleased to take away from our side my beloved husband and loving father of the children, Gijsbert De Zeeuw, at the age of 68 years, 7 months and 3 days, whom I have been allowed to join in marriage for 21 years, along with leaving behind 2 sons and 1 daughter and 2 children in law, regretting this loss with me.
But we do wish to answer the Lord’s wishes, knowing our loss will be His Benifit.
And Allthough he had suffered during 9 day suffering, he did express his Longing to be with Christ, with these words:
“It will not last long anymore
My Father is counting the hours
As I will leave this valley of Tears
And will rejoice in rejoicing forever“
So I do wish to express warm Thanks to all being with us so faithfully while suffering and passing away.
In addition the children and children in law do so. Hendrikje De Zeeuw, born van Grevenhof
