NANCY ANN LENCI, age 67, of Temescal Valley, California, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, July 30, 2017 after a brave year and a half battle with lung cancer.
Nancy Medsker was born on November 24, 1949 in Los Angeles, and was the only child to the late Ivan Rader Medsker and Elsie Mae (Smits) Medsker. She went to school at Jordan High School in Long Beach, California and completed some college at Cerritos College. She was married in 1968 to the late George Ayer Port and they had two daughters, although they later divorced. After college, she began and ended her corporate career working as a Contracts Manager in the aerospace industry for McDonnell Douglas, Hughes Aircraft, and Rockwell Collins. It was at Hughes Aircraft that she met the love of her life, Stanley James Lenci. On November, 23 1986, she and Stanley were married in San Pedro, California aboard the Princess Louise.
After she retired in 2005, Nancy did what she loved, planning vacations for other people, and worked for Prestige Travel & Cruises. It was traveling the globe working in the aerospace business that started her passion for travel that she then shared with family and friends. She was known for planning and organizing the best parties and vacations. Nancy has been described as a “force” with a larger than life personality, the greatest sense of humor, and a laugh that could be heard clear across a room.
She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Stanley James Lenci; two daughters Shannon Lott Pilliter, her children Cameron and Taylor Lott, her husband Matthew Pilliter, his children Jaxson and Keaton Pilliter, and Brenda Robinson, her significant other William Robinson Jr., and his daughter Kaylie Robinson.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
