Schaap 1824-1910 and Maria Jans DE Vries 1823-1880. His wife was Tettje ‘Tillie’ Schaap 1863- 1943. They had nine childen: Peter, 1883, Maria 1887, Jantje 1888, Aaltje 1890, Maggie 1891, Kate 1893, Minnie 1897, Jacoba 1900 and Matilda 1904.
