DEATH OF WILLIAM SCHULDT IN SIOUX FALLS HOSPITAL

The death of Markus William Schuldt occurred at the McKennen hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D., on the 26th day of June 1925 at 3 o’clock A.M. On April the 10th, this spring he was taken sick with influenza and a few days later was taken to Sioux Falls and there he lingered until death claimed him.

He was born the 16th day of January, 1870, in Krempe, Schlesburg, Holstein, Germany. In the spring of 1913, he came with his wife and two daughters to America, settling in Sioux county. In the spring of 1914 they started farming in Plato township and remained there six years, then moved to Humboldt, S.D., where he was living when taken sick.

In the year 1893, he was united in marriage to Minnie Borge, and to this union were born four children, namely: Ferdinand and Diedrick of Humboldt, S.D., and Mrs. Adaline Miller and Mrs. Amanda Miller, both of this vicinity, who with their mother, mourn the death of their dear father and husband. He also leaves to mourn three sisters in Germany, and six grand children.

He had reached the age of fifty-five years, five months and ten days. Funeral services were held Sunday at the German Lutheran church in Plato township, conducted by Rev. J. Dachsteiner. Burial took place in the cemetery near the church. Relatives and friends from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Dietrich, Henry Lahm, Theo. Gelderman, Edward Miller, Herman Meus, Mrs. C. Meus, Harney Olsen and daughter, Lena, of Canistota, S.D., and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kock, of Sioux Falls.
