Charles Jager, 69, of Bellflower, California, died Sunday from injuries sustained when he was hit by a car.

Funeral services will be held Friday at the Associated Church in Hawarden, Reverend Herbert Young officiating. Burial will be in Grace Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Jager was born April 13, 1898, at Sioux Center. He resided in Hawarden prior to moving to California in 1949.

Survivors include four sons, Francis, Douglas, Curtis and Charles, Jr., all of Bellflower; two daughters, Mrs. G.C. Miller of Alton and Mrs. Roger Frenstra of Halloman, New Mexico; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Tammer of Haytt, Missouri, and Mrs. Orlen Listen and Mrs. Jessie Mephurson of Hawarden; three brothers, Dick of Piqun, Ohio, Harry of Hawarden and Al of Hudson.
