Services were held for Mrs. Martha A. Jahn, 81, of Maurice on July 2 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ireton. Mrs. Jahn died June 29 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Sioux City.

The former Martha Vander Hamm was born near Ireton on April 28, 1892 to Mr. and Mrs. August Vander Hamm. On June 12, 1919 she married Fred W. Jahn, Jr.. He died in 1959.

Survivors include one son, Harold of Maurice, three daughters, Mrs. William (Dorothy) Borchers of Ireton, Mrs. James (Helen) Jasper of Ireton, and Mrs. Robert (Lucille) Rockwood of Bedford, New Hampshire; two brothers, Herbert of Ireton and Henry of Spencer, one sister, Emelia Eilts of Spencer, South Dakota. She was preceded in death by her husband and a grandson, David Jahn in 1967.

Pallbearers were grandsons Donald Jasper, Gary Jasper, Robert Jasper, Dennis Borchers, Rodney Jahn and Richard Rockwood.
