Death: July 22, 1943Christiaan Jacobs 84 passed away on Thursday, July 22 at the home of his daughter Mr. and Mrs. William Johnson at Boyden.
He was born on June 20, 1859 in Twelloo, Gelderland the Netherlands and came to America in 1877.
On March 26, 1885 he was married to Miss Mary Van Zyl who survives him.
Children surviving are Herman Jacobs of Rock Valley, Kate, Mrs. William Johnson of Boyden, Reverend Henry Jacobs of Fremont, Michigan, Miss Jennie Jacobs of Matlock, Iowa and Samuel Jacobs of San Pedro, California.
A daughter, Henrietta, preceded him in death many years ago.
There are 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the William Johnson home in Boyden with Reverend Aberson of Rock Valley officiating. Interment was made in the Newkirk Cemetery.
