FUNERAL SERVICES HELD SATURDAY FOR CHAD BERKENPAS

Funeral services were held at the First Reformed Church here at 3 P.M. Saturday, June 5, for Chad C. Berkenpas, 2 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Berkenpas of George, who died June 4, 1971 at the Sioux Center Community Hospital following a long illness with cancer.

Services were conducted by the Reverend George Buchin and burial was made in the Sioux Center Memory Gardens with the Vander Ploeg’s Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Chad was born at Pella, Iowa, September 28, 1968.

The family had resided the past year at George where Mr. Berkenpas served as high school coach and teacher.

Survivors include his parents; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Berkenpas and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Irwin, all of Sioux Center, Iowa
