Cornelia "Kate" Humme, 82, of Hull died Monday, April 4, in a hospital in Rock Valley.

Services were at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 7, at First Reformed Church in Hull with the Reverend Gerald Vander Velde officiating. Burial was in Hope Cemetery at Hull.

Born Cornelia Vos March 11, 1906, to Henry and Petternelle (Van Wyk) Vos at Hull, she married Arnold Humme at Doon February 18, 1927. The couple farmed north of Hull until 1961 when they moved into town. She was a housekeeper at Pleasant Acres Nursing Home at Hull for about five years. In February 1986 she became a resident of Pleasant Acres.

She was a member of First Reformed Church at World Home Bible League.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, John of Pequannock, New Jersey, Peter of Hull and James of Rock Valley; four daughters, Nelverne Marra of Sanborn, Norma Vander Meulen of Ocheyedan, Mary VAn't Hul of Rock Valley and Donna Humme of Sioux Falls; a brother, Clarence Vos of Kingsley; five sisters, Greta Hommes of Rock Rapids, Rose Valentine and Lillian De Leeuw, both of Hull, Todd Lubbers of Orange City and Maxine Kragt of Sheldon; 16 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial has been established in Cornelia Humme's name with World Home Bible League.
