From the Alton Democrat, November 15, 1924, Rock Valley news:

Arthur and Jake Hop mourn the death of their children, one having died of indigestion and the other of pneumonia. The two young couples have the sympathy of host of friends.

Peter's death certificate has Peter Hop, born November 16, 1920 in Rock Valley; son of Art Hop and Johana Driesen, both born in Holland; died November 7, 1924 in Sanborn, O'Brien County, of bronchial pneumonia.
