From the Alton Democrat, November 15, 1924, Rock Valley news:

Arthur and Jake Hop mourn the death of their children, one having died of indigestion and the other of pneumonia. The two young couples have the sympathy of a host of friends.

The Sioux County Cemetery Index has Hop, Jacob, b. 1923, d. 1924, son of J. & A., ss Johanna J. [his sister, who died in 1925], Valley View Cem Rock Valley IA.

His death certificate has Jacob Hop, born Sept. 18, 1923 in Rock Valley; parents Jacob Hop and Hendricka Dibbets, both born in Holland; died Nov. 6, 1924 at 6 a.m. in Rock Valley of acute dysentery, which he had had for two days; buried in Rock Valley Cemetery.
