Martha Hundt, 89, of rural Boyden died Monday, January 1, 1996, at Merrill Pioneer Community Hospital, Rock Rapids.

Services were January 4 at St. John Lutheran Church, rural Boyden, with interment in the Church Cemetery.

Martha Schmidt was born May 15,1906, near Boyden. She was the daughter of Fred and Anna (Woelber) Schmidt. She attended Lutheran Christian Day School.

On January 27, 1932, she married Henry Hundt. They farmed in the George and Boyden area.

She was a life long member of St. John Lutheran Church and a member of its Dorcas Society.

Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Waldo (Lois) Hollander; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one sister, Katherine Stegeman of Melvin.
