From the Alton Democrat, October 4, 1924, Hull news:

Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Schaap and Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Bos returned this week Monday from Casselwood S.D. where they were present at the funeral of Mr. E. R. Bos who passed away last week Thursday. Mr. E. R. Bos was a prosperous farmer at Casselwood and formerly operated a harness shop in Hull.

From the Sioux County Index (Hull), October 3, 1924:

FATHER DIES

Ralph E. Bos sends us word that his father, Mr. E. R. Bos, of Castlewood, South Dakota, died Thursday, September 25th and was buried Saturday, September 27th. Mr. Bos had suffered for many months and the end had been looked for for some time. The Bos' were residents of this place some years ago and have many relatives and friends still residing here.

He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife and four children, three boys and one girl: Ralph E., of Hull, and Case[?]and Ray and Mrs. Nellie Blaker of Castlewood. Mr. Bos was fifty-nine and one-half years old and had been married 33 years.

Among those from this place who attended the funeral were: Ralph E. Bos, Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Bos, Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Schaap and Ralph Eggink. The sincere sympathy of all is extended to the bereaved relatives.
