Mrs. Cornelius Huisman, 35, (nee Anna Van Asselt) died early Monday morning at her home in Alton. Mrs. Huisman gave birth to a son about three weeks ago. After coming home from the hospital she had a stroke which paralyzed her left side. After that she for a time seemed to be recovering but during the past week she had another stroke which paralyzed her right side and later pleurisy set in which brought about her death.

She leaves her husband and four children, the oldest, a son of nine, a daughter of six, a little son of fifteen months and her infant son of three weeks. Also surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Van Asselt, a brother, John of Irving, Mrs. Ernest Loeuwen of Alton, Henry of Ames, and Franklin and Frances of Alton.

Funeral services were held Wednesday in the Reformed Church and interment in the Nassau Township Cemetery.
