Frank Flammang, a Sioux County resident for many years, died early Monday morning, April 12th, at the home of his nephew, Jacob B. Klein northwest of Granville. Mr. Flammang wns 64 years old at the time of his death, which resulted from cancer. He was born in 1862 at Niederfeulen, Luxemburg and came when 24 years old to the US where he worked as a laborer until incapacitated by illness. He has lied in the Granville vicinity since that time, with the exception of thirteen years spent in the Black Hills where he was employed in a hospital at Hot Springs. Since his return seven years ago he has made his home with his nephew. Mr. Flammang never married, but is survived by two half brothers, Jacob Klein of Alton and Theo Klein of Granville and by his nephew Jacob B. Klein all of whom have the sympathy of many in the death of a respected citizen and kind friend.

Funeral services on Wednesday were in charge of Rev. Father Klein of Le Mars, and were held at St. Joseph's church in Granville and burial was in the St. Joseph’s cemetery. Those here from a distance for the services were Mr. and Mrs. Mike Klein, Frank Klein, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Klein, Frank Banks all of Adrian MN.

Note: In the 1920 census Frank Flammeng was 57 years old living with (nephew) Jacob B. Klein born 1875 IL and wife Celia K. born 1882 Iowa.
