Jacob C. Hospers, 94, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, formerly of Sheldon, died Wednesday in Alexandria, Minnesota.

Services were at 1 p.m. Saturday at Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Sheldon. The Reverend George E. Gibson officiated. Burial was at West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City.

Mr. Hospers was born January 27, 1884, in Orange City. He married Cecilia Knittel October 21, 1911, in Sioux City. She died December 9, 1973.

After his wife's death, he moved from Sheldon to Alexandria to live with a daughter.

Survivors include a son, John of Williamsport, Pennsylvania; three daughters, Mrs. Richard (Frances) Macheak of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Mrs. Edwin (Joan) Emerson of Osakas, Minnesota, and Mrs. Arvin J. (Emilie) Clemensen of Minneapolis; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
