At half past five o’clock Wednesday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. L.A. Drew, occurred the death of Mrs. Sarah Hone, from kidney trouble. She had been in poor health several months but her ailment did not take a serious turn until last Saturday, from which time she continued to fail rapidly.

Sarah Searle was born in England May 12, 1829, and was married to Charles Hone at Shepperton, Middlesex, England, April 20, 1850. They came to America in April 1870 and located in Wisconsin where they resided for nine years. In 1879 they moved to Sioux County and she has since made her home of seven children, all of whom are living. They are: Jesse, William, and Mrs. A.C. Freeman of Alcester, South Dakota, Mrs. Olive Jones and Mrs. L.A. Drew of Hawarden, Mrs. J.E. Stiles of Escondido, California and Charles of Sanborn, Iowa.

The funeral will be held at the Congregational Church at 1 o’clock Friday afternoon and the remains will be interred in the Ireton Cemetery beside those of her husband who was buried there a number of years ago.
