Even, Thomas W. born 10 Aug 1933 died 6 Jan 1977 He was in the Korean Marine Corp. buried in St. Mary’s cemetery at Alton IA.

Tom Even, 43, Alton, died Jan. 2 at the Orange City hospital after a lengthy illness.
Services were at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 4 in St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Rev. Mervin Hood officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Van Etten Funeral Home of Orange City.

Mr. Even was born Aug. 15, 1933, in Alton. He married Dorothy Ver Doorn Aug. 31, 1954, in Alton. He was a partner in the Even Motor Co. of Alton, member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, active in the Boy Scouts of America and a former member of the Alton Jaycees. Mr. Even served as chief of the Alton Fire Department and was on the Alton Chamber of Commerce. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1954 to 1956.

Survivors include the widow; three daughters, Valerie, Rachael and Rebecca, all at home; three sons, Ricci of California and Randal and Tom Jr., both of Alton; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.T. Even of Alton; four brothers, Jay and Mike, both of Alton, Jack of Lamar, Colo., and Jim of Medina, Ohio and two sisters, Miss Mary Lois Even of Sioux City and Mrs. Jeff (Carol) Halstron of Paullina.
