Funeral services for Mrs. Elise Hollander, 85, were held Saturday afternoon in the Congregational Chunch in Doon with the Reverend Duane Manson officiating.

Mrs. Hollander died Wednesday at her home in Doon. Marliss Klutman was organist for the service with Mrs. Duane Manson offering two vocal selections, "The Lord is My Shepherd" and "Lead Kindly Light". Interment was in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery near Hull with Herman Hollander, Fred Hollander, Bill Schuett, Willie Schuett, John Hollander and Wilbur Hollander serving as bearers.

Mrs. Hollander was born in Sioux County February 1, 1875, the daughter of John and Margretta Reyelts Hollander, and grew to young womanhood in the Boyden community.

Her marriage to John G. Hollander was solemnized November 24, 1901 at Hull and the couple lived in Doon during their married life together.

Mr. Hollander died in 1948. One son, Ed, of Alvord survives, also nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were by Lockwood-Jongewaard Funeral home.
