Mrs. Herman J.C. Hollander, resident of six miles north of Boyden, died Saturday, May 13, at the age of 49 years.

Kathrine LaFrenz was born November 13, 1911, in Wheeler Township, Lyon County. Her parents were Dietrich LaFrenz and Maria Nee Vagts.

In 1931 she married Herman J.C. Hollander. The couple resided for their entire married life of 30 years in the rural community north of Boyden. She was a life long member of St. John Lutheran Church.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at St. John Lutheran Church with Pastor P.A. Hinrichs officiating. Interment was made in the congregational Cemetery.

Survivors of Mrs. Hollander are her husband and two sisters, Meta, Mrs. H. LaFrenz of Sioux City, and Rika, Mrs. Rudolf Meyer of Madison, Missouri. Her parents and one sister preceded her in death.
