Peter M. Hoekstra, 92, of Hull died Wednesday, August 21, at his home.

Services were at 1 P.M. Saturday, August 24, in the Protestant Reformed Church in Hull. The Reverend R. Moore officiated. Burial was in Hope Cemetery. Family visitation was from 7-8:30 P.M. Friday, August 23, in Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center.

Mr. Hoekstra was born June 12, 1893, in Derlikum, Holland, and he came to the United States in 1913. He married Florence De Boer December 17, 1917, at Sheldon. They lived near Sheldon and later moved to Boyden before moving to Hull. She died April 24, 1969.

Mr. Hoekstra was an elder in the Protestant Reformed Church for many years.

Survivors include seven sons, Martin of Sheldon, George of Hudsonville, Michigan, Don, Ted, and Henry of Hull, John of Sheldon and Peter of Kent City, Michigan; four daughters, Mrs. Gerrit (Eunice) Brummel and Mrs. Bert (Bernice) Van Maanen, both of Hull, Mrs. Ray (Florence) Brunsting of Rock Valley and Mrs. Alvin (Dorothy) Mulder of Arroyo, California; one brother, John of Boyden; two sisters, Mrs. John (Florence) Boer of Boyden and Mrs. John (Tena) Sietstra of Sheldon; 69 grandchildren and 147 great-grandchildren.
