DEATH OF Rijer HOEFAKKER

Rijer Hoefakker passed away at his home in Rock Valley Friday evening at 7:30 o'clock, following an illness of about two months.

Mr. Hoefakkers was born in Holland, September 24, 1843, and at the time of his death had attained the advanced age of eighty years, seven months and nine days.

His early life was spent in Holland where he grew to manhood.

He was married to Engellina Muller on May 6, 1886, and a few years later, with his family, came to his country and for the past thirty-two years has lived in Rock Valley and vicinity.

For several years they lived on a farm southeast of Rock Valley, and about fifteen years ago, the family moved to Rock Valley, where Mr. Hoefakker resided until his death.

He leaves his wife and two sons, Henry and Gerrit all living in this vicinity.

Mr. Hoefakker was a hard working man in his younger days, and held the respect of all of those who knew him.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the home at 1:45 and at the First Reformed Church in Rock Valley at 2:00 and the remains were taken to Valley View Cemetery for burial.
