Former resident dies Monday in Hudson hospital

Funeral services will be held Friday at the Bethany Lutheran church in Fairview for Herman Scholleman, 73, who died in the Hudson hospital Monday. Mr. Schollerman had farmed in the Rock Valley area for 27 years prior to moving to Fairview about 20 years ago. He was born Feb. 10, 1887 in Germany and came to the U. S. in 1910 when he settled near here.

Survivors include five sons, Herman, jr., and John, both of Hawarden, Richard, Sioux Center, Lawrence, Fairview, and Herbert of Massachusets; five daughters, Mrs. Bertha Nelson, Otho, Mrs Clifford Whitten, Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Chris Erickson, Toronto, Mrs. Milo Iseminger, Ontario, Calif., and Mrs. Ed Skolvold, Centerville; 26 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
