Miss Frances Hodapp, 84, passed away in the Orange City Hospital Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 o’clock of a brief illness, being a patient there 2 ˝ weeks.

She was born February 14, 1881, at Kapplerrodeck Baden, Germany, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anton and Katharina (Zink) Hodapp. She came to the United States in 1903. She made her home with her brother Mike Hodapp and family after the death of his wife and they resided on a farm northeast of Granville, before retiring and moving to Granville. After the death of her brother, she went to Minneapolis and for a number of years was the housekeeper at a Catholic rectory. About six years she returned to Granville to make her home.

Funeral services were held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Granville. Reverend N.J. Becker officiating at 10:00 o’clock Friday morning. Burial was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Rosary was recited at Spalding Hall Thursday evening. Pallbearers were Peter Gaul, Nick Didier, Jack Ney, Hank Klein, Bert Schnurr and John Niichel.

Survivors are numerous nieces and nephews.
