LAST RITES FOR JOHN HODAPP AT GRANVILLE TUESDAY MORNING

Funeral services were held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Granville, Tuesday morning at 10:00 o’clock for John Hodapp, 63, who passed away in the Orange City Hospital Sunday morning at 9:00 o’clock where he was a patient for a week following a lingering illness of about a year.

He was born December 27, 1898, near Sutherland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael and Maria (Berger) Hodapp and when a child moved with his parents to the Granville community.

On November 20, 192, he was married to Margaret Koob at St. Joseph Church, Granville, and began farming north of Granville. In 1932 they moved to Granville, and he operated the Hodapp Trucking Service for 30 years, retiring on account of ill health last year.

Surviving are the widow, Margaret; one son, Emmett of Granville, one daughter (Vernis) Mrs. George Perrett of Sioux City, two granddaughters, one brother William Hodapp of Las Vegas, Nevada, four sisters, Mrs. Rose Langenhorst of Granville, (Martha) Mrs. George Brendel of Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, (Marie) Mrs. Charles Vogel of Burbank, California, (Clara) Mrs. Leo Croat of Granville.

Rosary was recited at the Parish Hall, Granville, Monday evening. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery, under the direction of Fisch Funeral Home of Remsen. Pallbearers were George Bormann, Joe Schwarz, Henry Moos, Henry Schnurr, Bert Schnurr and Anton Schuver
