MRS. JOHN HODAPP PASSED AWAY THURSDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. John Hodapp, 66, were held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Granville, Saturday morning at 10:00 o’clock. Reverend N.J. Becker officiated at the Requiem Mass. She passed away at the Orange City Hospital Thursday morning following a heart attack a few hours earlier.

Margaret Koob was born on a farm east of Alton January 11, 1898, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Barney and Anna (Dries) Hodapp when a child moved with her parents, north of Granville, where she attended St. Joseph School then assisted her parents on the farm. On November 20, 1922 she married John Hodapp and they farmed north and east of Granville, until moving to Granville in 1932, where she had since resided.

Surviving are one son, Emmett of Granville, one daughter (Vernis) Mrs. George Perret of Sioux City, two granddaughters, Kathleen and Jeanine Perret, one sister, Mrs. A.H. Nemmers, four brothers, Ray, Edwin, Mile and Francis Koob, all of Granville. She was preceded in death by her husband June 10, 1962; a son, Orville, four brothers, Nick, John, Leonard, and Leo Koob and her parents.

Rosary was recited at Spalding Hall Friday evening. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bert Schnurr, Henry Schnurr, Joe Schwarz, George Borman, Henry Moos, Paul Goergen.

Relatives and friends attended fro Sleepy Eye, Ionia, Fulda, Wilmont, Minnesota, Milford, Sibley, Hospers, Sioux City, Alton, and Fort Dodge.
