Mrs. Marcella Hodgen, 66, of Slayton, Minnesota, a former resident died Sunday at a Sioux Falls, South Dakota Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Services will be at 10 A.M. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Granville. The Reverend Gary Snyder will officiate. The Rosary will be said at 5:00, 7:30, and 8:30 P.M. today in Spalding Hall. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Alton under the direction of the Fisch Funeral Home, Remsen.

Mrs. Hodgen, the former Marcella Reith, was born March 24, 1911, in rural Remsen. Marcella was married to Everett Edward Hodgen on September 2, 1929 in Remsen, Iowa. She was a retired beautician, operating shops in Alton and Granville. She lived in the Remsen area until 1963, when he moved to Granville, where she lived until moving to Slayton in 1972.

Survivors include a son, Terrance of Granville; a grandson; and a sister, Mrs. Martin (Marie) Gaul of Le Mars.
