Funeral services for Henry Hielkema, 70, were held Saturday, Sept, 27, at the First Reformed Church of Orange City with the Reverend R. Van Heukelom and the Reverend A. Eissens officiating. Burial was at Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Van Etten Funeral Home.

Mr. Hielkema died Thursday, September 25, 1969, at the Orange City hospital.

He was born July 25, 1899 in the Netherlands to Hielke and Sadie DeGroot Hielkema.

He married Nettie Houtsma August 20,1925 at Ocheyden. They farmed at Ocheyden and Pease, Minnesota, later resided in San Antonio, Texas, and came to Orange City in 1950.

Surviving are the widow; one daughter, Mrs. Edward Winters of Milaca, Minnesota; three sons, Arthur of Orange City, Allan of Byron Center, Michigan, and Harvey of Woodsville, Wisconsin; two sisters, Mrs. Harry Baker of Ocheyden and Mrs. Andrew Werkhoven of Olivia, Minnesota, and 35 grandchildren.
