John J. Hill, 48, manager of the state liquor store in Hawarden, Iowa died unexpectedly Monday evening January 15, 1968 in that store.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. January 18, 1968 at the Methodist Church with Reverend G. S. Bruland officiating. Burial will be in Grace Hill Cemetery under the direction of Dow Funeral Home. Graveside rites will be conducted by American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars members.

John Hill was born January 12, 1920, to William and Treasa Ann (Hoefer) Hill, in Williams, Iowa. He married Shirley Vernon July 7, 1942, in California. He was a veteran of World War II and had lived most of his life in Hawarden, Iowa.

Survivors, besides the widow, include two sons, Dennis and Ronald, both of Hawarden; his father, William L. Hill, of Vancouver, Washington; two brothers, William, of Hawarden, Iowa. and James, stationed with the Army in Vietnam; and seven sisters, Mrs. Donald Reinking and Mrs. Elmer White, both of Hawarden, Iowa, Mrs. Wayne Von Hagel of Akron, Iowa, Mrs. William Kierks of Winston, Oregon, Mrs. Ruben Huebner of Vancouver, Wishington, Mrs. Barney Koopsma of Fairview, South Dakota, and Mrs. David Kaskie of Anchorage, Arkansas
