Hodick Henderson was born April 15, 1868, in Tenspur, Norway and died Monday July 17, 1939 in the hospital in Le Mars following a prolonged illness of over two years, diabetes and complications being the cause of his death.

He was a resident of Rock Valley for forty-six years, and before that had lived for ten years at Calmar, Iowa and twelve years at Hull. He was a mason by trade, and had practiced that trade with his brother William all the time he lived here.

He leaves one sister, Mrs. Lee Shutter of Burtrum, Minnesota and two brothers, Alfred of Worthington, Minnesota and William with whom he made his home.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the home with Reverend Mr. J.A. Kettle officiating, and burial was made in the local cemetery.
