Mrs. Brouwer Rites At Sheldon Monday
Mrs. Grace Klein Brouwer of Sheldon passed, away Dec. 12 at the Sheldon Hospital, where she was a patient for three weeks. She is survived by her husband, Dick Brouwer of Sheldon, two sons, Edsko G. Klein of Alton and Bernard J. Klein Northwood; a step-daughter, Mrs. Arie Van Nyhuis of Sheldon; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons.

Mrs. Brouwer was born in the Netherlands, Oct. 4,1879 to Mr. and Mrs. Edsko Dyksterhuis,
who homesteaded north of Hospers in 1882. She was married in 1903 to Bernard John Klein of Hospers and four sons were born to the couple,Mr. Klein died in 1915 and his widow was left with , four young sons to rear, the oldest ten years the youngest still an infant, of the sons preceded their mother in death.

Her marriage to Dick Brouwer took place; in 1948. Funeral services were held at the First Reformed church in Sheldon Monday afternoon, with burial in the Klein family plot at Hospers, Several Altonites, friends of the family, attended the services Monday: Mrs. Brouwer was loved by many friends for her kindness and other wonderful qualities.
