Marie P. Winter

Mrs. Wm. A. Winter died suddenly Friday noon after she and her husband had just returned from town and were about to enter the house. Funeral services were conducted on Monday afternoon at the St. John Lutheran Church four miles north of Boyden, where she had been a member ever since her marriage to Wm. A. Winter. Pastor P. A. Hinrichs officiated at the funeral and interment was made in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Winter was born north of Hull, April 3, 1892. Her parents were Berthold Reyelts and his wife Betty nee Lemmel. She received her Christian upbringing in the St. Paul Lutheran Church, where her parents were members.
In 1915 she married William A. Winter and the young couple established their home three miles north of Boyden, which place became the lifelong home of the deceased. Seven children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Winter, six of whom survive the mother. Mrs. Winter was a very active member of St. John Lutheran Church and took an active part in the program of the Dorcas Mission Society.
Surviving Mrs. Winter is the husband William A. Winter, and the three sons, Kenneth of Sioux City; Wallace and Lloyd of Boyden, and the three daughters, Fern, Mrs. Conrad L. Krahling, Ashton, Alema, Mrs. Vernon Heitritter, Boyden; and Chrystal, Mrs. Waldo Kruse, Watertown, Wisconsin. Also 21 grandchildren survive as well as two sisters, Mrs. Hannah Reim of Orange City, and Mrs. Gus Stegeman of Boyden.
Pall bearers at the funeral were Walter Hensch, Robert Henning Waldo Winter, Fred Hensch, Henry Hundt, and Henry Stegeman.
