FORMER RESIDENT DEAD

The following account of the death of Andrew S. Dodds, a former resident of Rock Valley, from the Renville, Minn., paper, will be of interest to the older residents of this vicinity.

"Andrew S. Dodds was born Oct. 22, 1856, at Shannon, Ill., [and] died of apoplexy, Jan. 7, 1923, at the age of 66 years 2 months and 16 days, at the home of Mrs. O. A. Stensvad, Minneapolis, Minn.

He was married to Emma J. Gimmill in 1877, at Shannon, Ill., where they resided until the year of 1887, then moving to Iowa where they resided until 1906. Then they moved to Minnesota. His wife passed away at Pipestone, Minn., in 1915. He is survived by two daughters and one son, Mrs. A. O. Stensvad, of Minneapolis; Estella Dodds, of Winona, Minn., and Ray Dodds, of Aberdeen, S. Dak.

Funeral services were held at the Anderson Bros. Funeral Parlors, 1545 East Lake Street, Minneapolis Tuesday Jan. 9, Rev. J. A. O. Stub of the Central Lutheran Church officiating. He was laid to rest at the Fairview Cemetery at Renville, Minn., Wednesday Jan. 10, Rev. C. J. Quill, of the First Lutheran church officiating."
