John Winter Dies Suddenly

John Winter, a brother of Herman Winter, who has just been in this county for about a month, died last Saturday evening in a hospital at Sheldon, where he was operated upon for a tumor of the stomach, last Friday. His sudden death is indeed a shock to those who learned to know him in the short time he was here. Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon from the Lutheran church north of Boyden with Rev. Wm. Baetke officiating, and interment was made in the Lutheran cemetery.
Deceased came here from Cadenberge, Germany, about a month ago, and at the time of his death was in the employment of Fritz Sohl. He was a young man 22 years of age, born on December 8, 1900. He has a mother, two sisters and one brother residing in Germany, and a brother William, at Carpenter, S. D., who attended the funeral. He was a member of the Lutheran church. The Reporter extends its sincere sympathy to the brothers and other relatives.
