Mrs. William Heemskerk, (nee Jacoba VanLeenwen) was born in Zoetmeer, Netherlands, on September 14, 1880, and passed away early Tuesday morning, May 27, 1941, at the age of 61 years, 8 months and 13 days.

She leaves to mourn her departure, her husband residing in Boyden, and a son, Sam, living in Doon; two sisters, Marie and Nellie, and two brothers, Jacob and John living in the Netherlands; and two brothers, Adrian and William, living in California, and her aged mother living in the Netherlands. A brother, Henry preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held Thursday from the Reformed Church at Boyden, Reverend J.W. Brink officiating. Interment was made in the Hull Cemetery.
