No obit could be found in the Sioux County papers he lived in Sheldon so his obit most likely would be in the Sheldon papers, however in the

Alton Democrat of Sept. 13th 1962
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Vander Pol and Mrs. P. A. De Jong attended the funeral services of Mr. Dick Brower Tuesday afternoon at the First Ref. church in Sheldon.

Note: He may have gone by either Brouwer or Brower and his name was probably Richard.
