Brooks, Saphronia died 8 Oct 1890 at 27 years and 6 months, wife of T. J. buried in Pleasant Hill Ireton source in the WPH Index of 1939.

She was born abt 1863-65 Washington , WI lived in Reading Tsp. Sioux IA in 1885, her husband was Jefferson Brooks 22, born abt 1863 in Penn. Living with them was George M. Brooks age 20 1865 born in Penn.

This family was in the Ireton area a short time. Thomas Jefferson Brooks born 26 Mar 1862 Geneva Penn, died 5 Dec 1955 Spokane WA. He was married 1890 to Saphronia A. Hilton 1863-1890. T. J. later married Martha Elmina Crooks 1870-1931. T. J. and Saphronia may have had a daughter Elphia Brooks 1885-1893.
In the 1870 census of Washington, Green Co. WI Joseph Hilton 46 and wife Mary 33, they had children Ida, Clar, Ellis, Sophrona, Edgar and Anna, This could well be her family.
