Funeral services will be at 2 o’clock today (Thursday) at St. John’s Lutheran Church near Akron for Mrs. Trientje Hartman, 88, of Le Mars, mother of John, George and William Hartman of Harden, who died Monday at her farm home in Plymouth County. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery at Akron.

Mrs. Hartman, the former Trientjo Saathhoff, was born July 20, 1875 at Strackholt, Germany. She married Behrend Hartman on March 20, 1897, and they came to the United States in 1898.

They lived in Nebraska a short time and then moved to Plymouth County where she had since resided. He died several years ago.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Henry Helmrichs and Mrs. Fred Jacobs, both of Akron, and Mrs. George Kruse of Le Mars; four sons, Alfred of Le Mars and John, George and William, all of Hawarden; 30 grandchildren and 61 great-grandchildren.
