From the Rock Valley Bee, October 27, 1922:

The remains of Anton Schooneveld, who died at Grand Rapids, Mich., Oct. 16, arrived in Rock Valley last Thursday and funeral services were held Friday and the remains taken to Valley View Cemetery for burial. The Schooneveld family formerly lived here a few years ago, and will be remembered by a number of our people. Mr. Schooneveld was forty-two years old, and leaves a wife and three children.
