John Workhoven Rites

John Workhoven, 79, passed away on Friday, Dec. 2 at a nursing home in Sioux City, where he had been confined for the past 10 months. Mr. Workhoven was born Aug. 2, 1881 to Mr. and Mrs. Arie Workhoven on a farm 3 miles north of Orange City. He was married to Wilhelmina Van Wechel on Sept. 12, 1907, at Orange City. Mr. Workhoven worked as a representative of the Standard Oil Company and later was associated with the RBA. Survivors are his widow, a brother, Harry of Sioux City, also nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Workhoven were held Tuesday, Dec. 6 at the Gospel Church with the Rev. D.S. Hadley officiating. Interment was made in the Orange City Cemetery.
