Mrs. Peter (Gertrude "Gertie") Klein died at her home in Sioux Center last week Thursday morning from pneumonia following influenza.

She was the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John and Alice (Dykstra) Harmsen and was well known in this vicinity, having lived in Plato Township until a few years ago when the family moved to Sioux Center.

She was a good Christian and was well thought of by all who knew her.

She was born July 26, 1887, and was at the time of her death thirty one years and five months old. In February, 1909, she was united in marriage to Mr. Peter Klein.

They farmed in Plato Township until a few years ago when they moved to Carmel and later to Sioux Center where Mr. Klein follows the carpenter trade.

Three children were born to them, two daughters and one son, who with the husband mourn the loss of a wife and mother.

Funeral services were held the following Saturday afternoon and burial took place in the Sioux Cemetery.
