EDWARD HARMELINK DIES IN YANKTON FOLLOWING ILLNESS
Funeral services for Edward Harmelink, 59, formerly of Hawarden, founder and president of Yankton Concrete Products, were held Wednesday, October 8 in the First United Methodist Church in Yankton. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery in Hawarden.

Harmelink died in Sacred Heart Hospital following a three-year illness on Monday, October 6.

He was born July 23, 1910, in Rock Valley. He was a member of the Yankton Chamber of Commerce, Moose, and the First United Methodist Church. He was formerly in business in Hawarden.

He is survived by his widow, Caroline May (Gutting) Harmelink; two children, John of Yankton and Mrs. Pat (Mary) Dominick of Norwalk, Connecticut; six sisters, Mrs. William Van Mordt of Rapid City, Mrs. Michael Hooyer of Quincy, Washington; Mrs. Allan Bonthuis of Rock Valley, Mrs. Ted Kooima of Rock Valley, and Mrs. Jack Young of Washington State; seven brothers, Bert of Denver, Harvey of San Diego, John of Hawarden, Henry of Colton, Andrew of Fairview, and Vernon, in the Philippines.
