Funeral services for Jake Vander
Linden, 72, who died Dec. 17 at
the Artesia Christian Home at
Artesia, Calif., after a long illness
were held Monday at the
Vander Ploeg funeral home.

Mr. Vander Linden was born
Nov. 27,1885, in Holland. He married
Lena Kraak Jan. 31, 1913.
They lived around Rock Valley
until 1943 when they moved to
California.

Survivors include the widow,
three daughters, Mrs. Fred (Jo
hanna) Hulstein of Rock Rapids,
Mrs. Tony (Adriana) Hamming
of Pamona, Calif.; and Mrs. Clar
ence (Marie) Krudhof of Norwalk
Calif.; three sons, Bill, Marinus
and Leonard of Bellflower, Calif
A daughter, Marie, died at the
age of nine years.
Also surviving are 15 grand
children, three sisters and five brothers.
