William Hansen, 81, of Alton, died Monday in a hospital at Orange City of a brief illness.

Services were conducted at 10:30 A.M. Thursday in Alton. The Reverend David Hogan officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery under the direction of the Luken-Johnson Funeral Home of Le Mars. The Rosary was recited at 3 P.M. and 8 P.M. Wednesday in the parish hall at Alton.

Mr. Hansen was born September 29, 1898 at Alton.

He married Marcella Kontz January 26, 1926, at Alton. He was a retired Central Telephone Company employee and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Rosary Society. Survivors include the widow.
