Mrs. Cyril Haag of Ledyard, Iowa, died Tuesday, February 18 following a two-month bout with cancer, She was 74 years old.

The former Catherine Boever, she was born in Granville May 16, 1894. She was married to Cyril Haag of Hospers March 7, 1916, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Granville. The couple farmed near Hospers until 1920 when they moved to Ledyard.

Mrs. Haag is survived by her husband; seven sons, Claude of Swea City, Melbourne and Vernon of Ledyard, Merlyn of Amos, Dr. Arthur of Ottumwa, Francis of Elmore, Minnesota and Lyle of Kansas City, Missouri; eight daughters, Mrs. Colette Schneider of Algona, Mrs. Pearl Irmiter of Blairstown, Mrs. Ruth Arcand of St. Paul, Minnesota, Sister Blanche Marie Haag of Alton, Mrs. Darlene Cayler of Bancroft, Mrs. Isabelle Hatten of Pinellas Park, Florida, Mrs. Mary Ann Reilly of Ledyard, and Mrs. Rita Putze of Wichita, Kansas.

Also surviving are two brothers, Peter Boever of Belgrade, Minnesota and John Boever of Marcus; and three sisters, Mrs. Irene Schnee of Alton, Mrs. Eleanor Schommel of Granville, and Mrs. Mary Roder of Sioux City. There are 37 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Friday, February 21, in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Ledyard, with the Father Marvin Hood officiating.
