From the Rock Valley Bee, June 23, 1922:

FORMER RESIDENT BURIED

The remains of John Burke, former resident of this vicinity were brought here Tuesday from Worthing, S.D., for burial in the St. Mary's cemetery. His parents and one sister are buried here. Mr. Burke died at his home at Worthing of heart failure. The remains were brought by auto, and several auto loads of friends accompanied the remains.

Mr. Burke lived on a farm in pioneer days about seven miles west of Rock Valley for a number of years. He moved to South Dakota some twenty years ago. He married Miss Zeeman, a daughter of Mrs. Wattawa of Rock Valley, who survives him. He was 57 years old.

From the Alton Democrat, June 24, 1922, Rock Valley news:

John Burk who was an old pioneer of Sioux county and who formerly lived about seven miles west of Rock Valley and some 24 years ago moved to Worthing, S.D. and acquired a competency died at his home Sunday June 18 and was brought here Tuesday for burial in the Catholic cemetery by the side of his parents. He leaves a widow and several children to mourn his passing. [Remainder blurred out]
