Funeral services were held on Saturday, Oct. 2 at the St. Patrick Catholic church of Sheldon for Mrs. N.L. Youngers, age 88 of Sheldon who passed away on Sept. 29th. Revs. Cletus Keleher and Verne P. Stapenhorst officiated with burial in St. Anthony's Cemeteryat Hospers.
The former Magdalene Schlesser was born May 24, 1883, at LeMars. She was married Feb. 5, 1907 at Struble. He died on Nov. 7, 1957.
Survivors are daughters: Mrs. Pete (Esther) Stapenhorst of Hospers, Mrs. Jim (Melvina) Toney of Mena, Ark., son, Merlin of San Diego, Calif.; sisters, Sister Mary Vincent of Mount St. Claire, Clinton, Mrs. Barney (Margaret) Efting of Schuyler, Neb., Mrs. C.W. (Anna) Estlack of Muskegon, Mich., Mrs. Henry (Kathryn) Hastert of Seal Beach, Calif., brothers, John Schlesser of LeMars, ,Henry Schlesser of Maurice; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
