Eight children were born to them, four boys and four girls. One girl passed away at the age of two years in 1892. She leaves to mourn her unexpected departure her husband and sons, Emil Hansen Jr. of Sheldon; Henry Hansen of Oklahoma City; Fred Hansen of Sheldon and Alfred Hansen of Sheldon; and daughters, Mrs. Lena Wolf of Sheldon, Mrs. Lottie Walters of Harrisburg, Pa., and Mrs. Marie Oester of Ritter, Iowa. She also leaves one sister, three brothers and nine grandchildren.
